Dreaming of sunnier climes during this gray and wet February?
So are we! That’s why AAA Northeast is holding two travel events sure to satisfy your wanderlust: the Newsday AAA Travel Expo, in Uniondale, N.Y., and the AAA Travel Marketplace, in Foxborough, Mass.
The Newsday AAA Travel Expo will whet your appetites for travel, culture, and good food and drink. It’s being held Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. You’ll find travel inspiration from more than 100 exhibitors, informative seminars, food tastings, cultural entertainment, children’s area, and show-only booking specials and discounts.
Expo tickets are $7 for AAA members and Newsday subscribers; $14 for nonmembers/nonsubscribers.
The second extravaganza, AAA Travel Marketplace, will take place March 1-3 at Gillette Stadium (Go Pats!) in Foxborough, Mass.
The travel events show will feature over 100 exhibitors, more than 50 presentations, and the chance to book on-site with exclusive show deals and discounts.
“We have such a great relationship with our travel partners,” said Kate McGowan, manager of travel and branch marketing at AAA Northeast. “They know this is a big event, so they really come bringing their best deals.”
Attendees will also have a chance to enter to win an amazing vacation for two, including airfare. And folks who book at the event will walk away with a free gift.
Presentations will cover international destinations, theme parks, river and ocean cruising, the Caribbean and the islands, North American destinations and much more.
The show runs Friday, 2-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers. You can purchase them online or in your local AAA branch. Parking is free.
