Budget

Stay: The Best Western Plus Casino Royale is located in the middle of The Strip. There’s no resort fee and AAA members enjoy special rates. The Hilton Garden Inn Las Vegas South Strip is another option. Driving north from the hotel brings you to the iconic “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.

Mid-Range

Stay: Several casinos on or near The Strip offer middle-of-the-road pricing, including the West Wing at MGM Grand, the Luxor Hotel and Casino (which has a pyramid and sphinx) and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with its massive, eye-catching electric guitar.

Do: Head to the sky for unforgettable views. At 550 feet tall, the High Roller claims be the world’s tallest observation wheel. The observation deck at Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower rises nearly 1,150 feet, and offers X-Scream – a catapult 27 feet off the tower.

Dine: There are more than 20 AAA Four Diamond restaurants in Las Vegas. Options range from new American, at Spago, to upscale Chinese, at Jasmine, inside the Bellagio. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas offers French cuisine in a Parisian setting.

Luxury

Stay: Las Vegas has more AAA Five Diamond hotels than any other city except New York. For ultimate opulence, Aria Sky Suites offers a 2,060-square-foot penthouse with modern amenities and spectacular views thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Dine: For true decadence, the Burger Brasserie’s 777 Burger, for $777, features Kobe beef, pancetta, goat cheese, seared foie gras, Maine lobster and 100-year-aged balsamic, with a BLT salad and a bottle of Dom Perignon rose Champagne.
