Broadway’s Best for Breast Cancer!
June 29, 2020 EDTFree
The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan presents a five-episode virtual health and wellness series, Broadway’s Best for Breast Cancer!, co-hosted by Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez (currently battling breast cancer) and Caroline Kohles, senior director of health and wellness programming at the JCC. The series engages Broadway stars and healthcare experts to offer guidance to those facing their own health challenges during the pandemic.
The June 29 episode features: Javier Muñoz, star of Broadway’s In the Heights and Hamilton, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Tony Award-winner dubbed “the last leading man” by The New York Times, Allyson Tucker, Broadway performer, and Ericka Clinton, licensed massage therapist and a dean at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences.
The series is part of JCC’s cancer care partnership with Breastlink New York, which offers complementary care to those living with breast cancer through a range of classes, lectures and events focusing on self-care through movement, massage, yoga, Nia and Moving for Life — all to boost healing, increase vitality and help manage any side effects from cancer treatment. Broadway’s Best for Breast Cancer! is endorsed by JCC community partners Sharsheret, The Nia Technique and The American Cancer Society.
