For one night only, Handel’s Messiah will be presented by The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra with Providence Singers and World Class Soloists.
The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates the holiday season by presenting music’s most powerful message of faith, Handel’s Messiah, with The Providence Singers and an international quartet of outstanding soloists.
With the triumphant Hallelujah Chorus along with For Unto Us a Child Is Born and I Know That My Redeemer Liveth, this performance is a festive celebration of the origins of the holiday season.
Christine Noel, Artistic Director of Providence Singers, will lead the Orchestra, Singers and renowned soloists – soprano Andriana Chuchman, alto Marion Newman, tenor Isaiah Bell and bass Gregory Dahl.
Now in its 13th year, The Philharmonic’s Messiah has become a not-to-be-missed holiday tradition in Providence. For one night only, the RI Philharmonic Orchestra and Providence Singers provide the unique opportunity to see two cultural institutions at the peak of their powers interpreting one of the greatest oratorios in classical music.
The concert is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at The VETS
