Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2021/2022 Season at The VETS continues on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. with Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique.
Maestro Bramwell Tovey leads this wonderful program of Joan Tower’s Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.6, the Pathétique and Sibelius’ Violin Concerto featuring the return of violinist Jennifer Frautschi. The Tower work will be an RI Philharmonic Orchestra premiere. There will be an Open Rehearsal on Friday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m.
Together with several local performing arts organizations, the RI Philharmonic Orchestra has enacted COVID-19 protocols for the upcoming season. All patrons must be fully vaccinated and show proof and ID at the door. Anyone not able to be vaccinated must show a negative COVID-19 PCR Test taken with 72 hours of the performance. Masks must be worn when not actively eating/drinking in the lobby. Masks will be provided free of charge to anyone who does not have one upon entering The VETS.
Livestreaming will be a special benefit for subscribers only this season.
