What the Fluff? Festival

September 12 EDT

Free

What the Fluff? is a madcap festival honoring the invention of Marshmallow Fluff in Union Square. It celebrates Somerville’s proud tradition of innovation with live music, games, a community-wide cooking contest, zany happenings and much more.

This year’s theme — Fluff at First Sight — scoops a spoonful of Somerville to help life’s absurdities go down. It’s the sweet remedy for traffic jams and construction cones or opinion polls and ballot boxes. Somerville is for Lovers!

For the love of Fluff, strut your Somerville pride and bike, bus or boogie to Union Square to fill your cup with deliciously diverse food, entertainment and family-friendly activities with neighbors near and far.

What the Fluff? is brought to you by Union Square Main Streets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with a mission to preserve the unique character and advance the strength of the Union Square business district and community in partnership with the Somerville Arts Council.

Date: Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020 from 3–7 p.m. / rain date Sunday, Sept. 13

Where: Union Square in Somerville and select business locations throughout Union Square
