Wooster Square Cherry Blossom Festival

Commemorate the planting of 72 Yoshino Japanese Cherry Blossom trees in 1974 by the New Haven Historic Commission.
Free music on the festival stage includes Neighborhood Music School’s Premier Jazz Ensemble, Tuxedo Junction, the Sounds of Swing, Carlos Santiago Y Su Momento Musical and St. Luke’s Steel Band. There will be a children & families area with arts & crafts, learning experiences and more. HorizonWings, a raptor-rescue organization, and Nappy’s Puppets will be back as will the ever-popular face-painting and the New Haven Free Public Library Readmobile. Pet-friendly area with more than 30 local exhibitors, including artists and authors, non-profits, and close to 20 local food vendors.
