Crave Mad for Chicken
Boston

A fun spot known for its twice-fried, Korean-style chicken wings. Ultra-addictive, these crunchy beauties are hand-brushed with flavors like soy garlic, Buffalo and spicy barbecue.

Egg Roll Lady and Fish Shack
Worcester, Mass.

This place may be small, but it pumps out larger-than-life plates of crunchy fried seafood like crispy crab Rangoon and handmade egg rolls.

Evelyn’s Drive-in
Tiverton, R.I.

Located on the water with beautiful sunset views, Evelyn’s Drive-in is famous for fried clam cakes. These addictive golden balls of chopped clams and fluffy dough have a big following in Little Rhody.

Evviva Cucina
Beverly, Marlborough and Westford, Mass.

Evviva Cucina is a big Italian eatery with high ceilings and a bright, airy dining room. For something different, order your pizza fried – La Montanara style.

Cutty’s
Brookline, Mass.

Mark your calendar for Super Cluckin’ Sunday at Cutty’s, a once-a-month treat when fried chicken sandwiches are the only thing on the menu. Choose between honey mustard or BBQ ranch, available 10 a.m. until they sell out. Dates are posted on their website.

Nosh & Grog
Medfield, Mass.

The enormous housemade crab Rangoons are a must-try, but the real frying action comes at dessert, where fried dough is offered with ever-changing toppings like s’mores, apple crumb and mixed berry.

Susan’s Fish & Chips
Portland, Maine

A quirky clam shack that fries up enormous plates of fish and chips, succulent fried lobster tails and a fisherman’s platter jam-packed with clams, scallops, shrimp and fresh fish. For dessert, nothing tops Susan’s deep-fried banana sundae.
