Amrheins
Boston

Amrheins is the place to go for lobster mac and cheese, chicken pot pie and steaks cooked to perfection.

Bull Run Restaurant
Shirley, Mass.

This 200-year-old restaurant features classic decor and a modern menu with selections like truffled Cabot cheddar popcorn, creative burgers and outstanding prime rib.

Galleria Umberto
Boston

This counter-service restaurant serves Italian favorites like Sicilian pizza, panini, calzones, panzerotti and arancini. Phantom recommends getting there early, because once this cash-only spot runs out of eats, it closes its doors.

George’s Coney Island
Worcester, Mass.

This Worcester institution has been serving hot dogs for close to a century. Best topped with mustard, onions and George’s famous chili sauce, these dogs have quite a following.

Katz Bagel Bakery
Chelsea, Mass.

Since 1938, Katz’s has been making the best bagels north of Manhattan. It’s not the easiest place to find, but once you do, you’ll be in crispy-on-the-outside, chewy-in-the-center bagel heaven.

Ken’s Steak House
Framingham, Mass.

Ken’s Steak House is a true old school eatery, serving favorites like ultra-fresh shrimp cocktail, choice steaks and chops, and salad with plenty of its famous dressing.

La Cantina Italiana
Framingham, Mass.

This family-friendly spot offers hearty homestyle eats like mouthwatering meatballs, antipasto and chicken Parmesan. The tasty square pizza can also be ordered gluten-free.

Thwaites Market
Methuen, Mass.

This grocery story specializes in English meat pies. Each savory snack is made by hand with everything from traditional ground pork to more adventurous flavors like spicy Buffalo chicken.
