Great 8: Places to Get S’mores in and Around Boston

There’s nothing better than the combination of graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate. These are the eight greatest places to get s’mores in and around Boston.

Back Deck

2 West St., Boston

The s’mores at Back Deck feature homemade espresso or peanut butter marshmallows and fresh-baked graham crackers, while patio furniture, umbrella chandeliers and lush greenery create a year-round, summery atmosphere at this urban oasis.

298 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith, N.H.

When the name of your restaurant is Camp, you’d better have some s’mores on your menu. Here they’re served in sundae form with vanilla ice cream, rich chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallows and Hershey’s chocolate squares.

Cupcake City

137 Main St., Reading, Mass.

This boutique cupcake shop serves mouthwatering treats that are big in flavor. But you must try the s’mores cupcake, which boasts dense chocolate cake, a graham cracker crust and marshmallow frosting.

Mike & Lill’s Black Sheep Pub & Grill

5 Central St., Peabody, Mass.

This casual tavern serves old-school comfort food like spaghetti and meatballs and chicken pot pie. If those don’t take you back, the s’mores in a jar definitely will. It’s a Mason jar packed with a graham cracker crust, a soft fudge brownie and marshmallow topping.

Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen

581 Washington St., Boston

Choosing between the savory dishes at Sip may be difficult, but when it comes to dessert, there’s only one sweet you need to eat: the s’mores. They come with fire-roasted marshmallows and sides of chocolate ganache, raspberry coulis and crushed graham crackers.

Taunton, Mass.

This local company puts a unique spin on cinnamon rolls, which can be purchased at local farmers markets or online at www.smackadoodles.com. The glorious s’more smackadoodle features graham crackers, marshmallow frosting, chocolate drizzle and torched marshmallows on top.

20 Broadway, Norwood, Mass.

Nothing hits the spot quite like Spot!’s breakfast spin on s’mores, which layers Marshmallow Fluff, Nutella and peanut butter onto a fresh chocolate chip bagel. The absolutely addictive treat falls somewhere between a Fluffernutter and a s’more.

Sweet Kitchen & Bar

72 Shrewsbury St., Worcester, Mass.

Sweet’s s’mores get an upgrade with gourmet marshmallows made in-house and infused with applewood smoke. They arrive at the table with homemade cookies, chocolate and a little hibachi for roasting.
