The second ship in the Edge Series, the new Celebrity Apex comes equipped with world-class, globally inspired cuisine, a vast array of luxurious accommodations and modern amenities to keep guests feeling entertained and relaxed.
Celebrity Apex’s innovative outward-facing design showcases the best of travel at sea. Oceanic inspiration can be found across the ship, from the fresh seafood served in the restaurants to the seamless blending of indoor and outdoor spaces in staterooms with Infinite Verandas. The hallmark of the ship is the amazing Magic Carpet; the transformative venue space is the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform and travels 16 decks.
Beginning in April 2020, the Celebrity Apex will embark from Southampton, England, and set sail for the Mediterranean. Then, starting in November, the Apex will travel to the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
From April through December of 2020, it will sail around the world, visiting the Bahamas; Greece, Malta and Turkey; Spain and Portugal; Mexico, Key West and Grand Cayman; Northern Europe; the Norwegian fjords; Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Kitts; Spain, France and Italy, and many more.
Regardless of where they are going, guests will certainly sleep well during their time on a Celebrity cruise. There are a wide variety of living space options, including suites, staterooms and rooms with verandas, all of which are lavish and all-inclusive.
The Retreat with Suite Accommodations offers guests a welcome bottle of Champagne, complimentary chocolates and 24/7 room service. There are nine types of suites, all outward facing, so guests can feel the openness of being at sea. Guests of the Retreat also have exclusive access to a private sundeck, lounge and restaurant. Iconic Suites, the largest in the fleet, boast “better views than the captain,” while Celebrity Suites feature floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and master bedrooms with king-size beds. Other suite options include the Reflection Suite, Penthouse Suite, Royal Suite, Signature Suite, Celebrity Suite, Sky Suite and Sunset Suite. Last, but certainly not least, are the Edge Villas, two-story suites with access to a private plunge pool and The Retreat Sundeck.
Guests can also choose from inside or ocean view staterooms. Veranda staterooms offer indoor and outdoor space, while Infinite Veranda rooms allow guests to transform their indoor space into outdoor space at the push of a button. Guests seeking extra luxury can look into Concierge Class staterooms with personalized concierge service or the Aqua Class staterooms, where spa-like ambiance is bolstered by complimentary access to the SEA Thermal Suite in The Spa and exclusive access to Blu Restaurant.
Food and Beverage
Dinning on board the Celebrity Apex is an epicurean experience, with menus carefully crafted by Michelin-starred chefs and flavors inspired by countries from around the world.
With 29 different restaurants, bars and lounges for guests to choose from, it could be hard to decide where to begin. For cocktails and a catalog of dozens of craft beers, guests will want to head to the brand-new Craft Social Bar. There’s also The Martini Bar, The Retreat Lounge, Eden Bar, The Pool Bar and The Sunset bar. For coffee lovers, there’s Il Secondo Bacio and Cafe al Bacio.
Four restaurants make up the Main Dining options, and each has its own unique look, feel and menu. There’s the Cosmopolitan Restaurant with its walk-through wine display and new American cuisine, and the Normandie Restaurant featuring contemporary French cuisine and European wines in an upscale atmosphere. The Cyprus Restaurant offers Mediterranean dishes in an ambiance specially crafted by world-renowned designer, Patricia Urquiola. Finally, the Tuscan Restaurant features Italian cuisine within an atmosphere inspired by the country’s fashion and film.
For something a bit more elevated, consider Apex’s Specialty Dining options, featuring seven distinct culinary experiences. For meat and seafood lovers, there’s Fine Cut Steakhouse and Raw on 5. Le Grand Bistro, with its French-inspired ambiance, also houses Le Petit Chef, which features fun tabletop animations perfect for families with kids. Other dining options include The Magic Carpet open-air restaurant, the Rooftop Garden Grill for backyard barbecue fare against amazing ocean views and Eden Restaurant, an open-kitchen style eatery with pops of greenery for a fresh, airy vibe.
Celebrity Apex also offers fully Complimentary Dining options at locations including the Eden Cafe, Mast Grill, Oceanview Cafe and the Spa Cafe and Juice Bar.
Those looking to unwind in a bath or with a massage will feel pampered aboard the Celebrity Apex. Guests can look and feel their best with over 120 available spa treatments and therapies. There’s also a fitness center, a salon and barber shop. Then, guests can sit back, relax and be entertained at The Theatre where productions utilize exciting new technology, including a 110-foot 4K LED screen.
For more active entertainment, the kids can head to Camp at Sea while the adults visit the casino, home to 2,015 slot games and 148 table games. The Club, which offers different things to do depending on the time of day, includes daytime activities like DJ classes and archery as well as live productions in the evening. Guests looking for outdoor fun will enjoy the Resort Deck. There’s an adults-only pool, a main pool, a private cabana and a rooftop garden that features live music performances.
