There is a new option for driver training in Rhode Island.
AAA Northeast now offers classroom instruction. Courses are held at the club’s new East Providence facility, at 10 River Road, which is just minutes from Interstate 195.
Students receive instruction based on a 33-hour curriculum approved by the Community College of Rhode Island, as required by the state.
Expert AAA driver training instructors lead the courses, in keeping with the club’s longtime commitment to traffic safety. AAA has educated young drivers on how to stay safe behind the wheel for more than 70 years.
A one-week accelerated course will be offered Monday through Friday, Feb. 19 to 23, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and new enrollments are welcome.
There is a $25 discount on the class for AAA members, and graduates may be eligible for a free Associate membership.
AAA also offers behind-the-wheel instruction for a separate fee.
