What Your AAA Editors Bought in September

One of the hardest parts about shopping online is that it’s hard to tell if anything’s good or not. And one of the rare pleasures of shopping online is discovering a weird new gadget that someone recommended to you. From eye masks to lemon pods, here are some of our favorite things that we bought online this September.

LED Night Light

LED Night Light Plug in, Remote Controlled 4 Dynamic Color Changing Modes

Why do you love this item?

“Okay, so I bought this night light because my poor cat doesn’t have the best eyesight, especially at night. However, it was more of a gift to me because it changes colors in a really cool, psychedelic way. And it has a remote control! I really need some excitement in my life if a night light gives me so much joy.”

champion joggers

Champion Women’s Jogger

Why do you love this item?

“Okay yeah, I bought sweatpants. Look, we’re in a pandemic. I’m working from home, and I want to wear sweatpants, but I never had many before the pandemic started. These Champion joggers are so cozy, and I’m definitely going to wear them all year round. The inside is extremely soft, and the cut of the ankles gives you a more interesting silhouette than regular sweatpants. That’s why I like joggers. Also, the Champion logo going up one leg is kind of fun and cute.”

car wash history

BULZiBUCKET Special Edition

Why do you love this item?

“It’s a fun and portable variation of cornhole that can be played anywhere! We’ve used it at the beach, in the mountains, in the driveway and even in the pool (it floats!). I first balked at the price, but the design is ingenious and I’m convinced we’ll get years of use out of it. Be aware, that if you’re playing in public, people will stop and ask you where to buy it.”

Pony tail hat

Eohak Ponytail Baseball Hat

Why do you love this item?

“Since I’ve been working out outside during the pandemic, I needed something to protect my face from the sun. When you wear a normal hat, your hair has be down or in a low ponytail. With this hat I can keep my hair up and still keep my face out of the sun. It looks weird at first but you get used to it. I’ve been stopped a ton of times asking where I got it. It’s cheap and comes in a ton of colors.”

bliss eye mask

Bliss Eye Got This Foil Eye Mask

Why do you love this item?

“I’m a beauty junkie and this is by far the best eye mask. It PETA-certified and cruelty-free and it leaves your eyes looking fresh. It also looks really pretty when you have it on.”

Dallas Ernst – Content Producer

Attitude shampoo

ATTITUDE Super Leaves Shampoo & Conditioner

Why do you love this item?

“It’s a natural, hypoallergenic product that’s EWG Verified, meaning the ingredients are ‘worry free.’ Other natural shampoos I’ve tried feel weird in your hair, but this shampoo suds up nicely, and the conditioner makes your hair feel smooth. It’s maybe a tad expensive compared to conventional shampoos/conditioners, but those products can strip your hair of vital oils. Plus, thanks to the EWG verification, you know you’re not putting harmful chemicals on your head or in your hair.”

lemon pod

Joie Fresh Flip Lemon Saver Pod

Why do you love this item?

“I’m always slicing lemons for water or iced tea and needed a place to keep them in the fridge where they wouldn’t dry out. This little container keeps the slices fresh and juicy for about a week and doesn’t take up too much room. Bonus points: It can be used for storing and serving dips! The same brand makes onion and avocado containers to store your random food halves, keeping the freshness in and odor out.”

Sierra Barter – Social Media Manager

stori drawers

STORi Audrey Stackable Cosmetic Organizer Drawers

Why do you love this item?

“Being home a lot more, I have been taking on a lot of organization projects. I used these drawers to clean up and organize under our kitchen sink. They help hold sponges, dishwasher tabs, Swiffer cloths and more! I love that they stack and I can use chalk paint markers to write what’s inside.”

Costa Farms plant

Costa Farms ZZ Zamioculcas Zamiifolia

Why do you love this item?

“This plant was described as ‘un-killable.’ While my thumb is trying to become greener, this was the perfect plant for my not-so-sunny basement. It feeds off artificial and natural light and needs little watering. I also love the cute pot that it comes in!”
