An Excellent Escape

“Mr. Rocco, welcome home!”

Those were the first words Albert Rocco heard upon arriving at Excellence Punta Cana as he and his wife Chris received glasses of Champagne.

“It might seem like they were minor niceties,” Rocco said. “But for us, it set the tone for a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable week of fun in the sun.”

Indeed, the warm welcome they received in the Dominican Republic was a prelude of what was to come. Every aspect of the resort exceeded the couple’s expectations.

“The accommodations were spectacular. The food was excellent. The grounds were wonderful for leisurely walks,” Rocco said.

They strolled around the resort’s ecological area during the day. When it came time to eat, they had their pick of more than 10 restaurants at the all-inclusive resort.

“We feasted in the main kitchen for breakfast and lunch each day,” Rocco said. “And we visited most of the restaurants for leisurely dining and wonderful food. There were so many we only had time to visit them once.”

All along, the staff of Excellence provided impeccable, and friendly, service.

“They were really the ones that made the whole trip excelente! They were friendly, personable, funny, interesting, helpful … I need more adjectives. And they were fun to have at your side.”

The Punta Cana excursion was the couple’s first vacation in seven years. But after their excellent experience, the Framingham, Mass., residents are ready for more.

“We can’t thank AAA, and mores specifically our adviser, Maureen Dalton, enough for making the first vacation we’ve taken in seven years the most excellent one we can remember,” Rocco said.
