Gov. Charlie Baker and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito recently celebrated the launch of Registry of Motor Vehicles services at the AAA Boston branch, along with representatives of AAA Northeast, the state Department of Transportation and the state Registry of Motor Vehicles.

The event capped off an effort between the RMV and AAA to provide registry services at AAA branches statewide.

“This type of initiative demonstrates an ability for people to find a way to collaborate, work together and improve the quality of the service that we provide to the traveling public, day in and day out … six days a week,” Baker said.

Only AAA offers in-person registry services on Saturdays.
