AAA Northeast is joining forces with 18 other clubs to fill food pantries, kitchens and plates through this year’s AAA Fuel Hope, Fight Hunger campaign.
The club is aiming to eclipse last year’s final total of 7.2 million meals donated nationwide, twice its 2025 goal of 3.5 million meals. Fundraising efforts already are underway with the April Dollars for Doers campaign; for every eligible hour an employee volunteers during April, monetary donations will be allocated to Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks.
Help AAA Fight Hunger
The campaign really takes off in June; between June 1-30, food donation boxes will be available in all 65 branches across the AAA Northeast territory and administrative offices. Employees are encouraged to volunteer shoulder to shoulder with members at various events, including collecting donations curbside at grocery stores, preparing food for those in need and stocking shelves at pantries. Sign up for hunger relief and other community events near you or send a message to memberengagementgroup@aaanortheast.com.
Donations are distributed through Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks.
Last Year’s Results
- $150,417 raised by AAA Northeast to support Feeding America and food banks throughout our footprint. (Just $1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local partner food banks.)
- 3,600+ employee volunteer hours contributed.
- 5,400+ food items donated by employees and members.

Responding to a Growing Need
Last year’s Road to Hunger Relief was the first coordinated national charitable campaign in AAA’s modern history, dedicated to alleviating the national food insecurity crisis.
More than 14 million children in the U.S. don’t have enough food to eat or don’t have access to healthy food, and more than 47 million people face hunger across every U.S. community, according to Feeding America.
Food insecurity is especially prevalent in the summer when children don’t have access to free school meals and donations to food banks decrease.
“The goal is to impact as many people as we can,” said co-leader of the AAA Northeast Member Engagement team and district branch manager Tom Ryan. “To increase the number of families served, the number of pounds of food collected, delivered and prepared. That’s how we measure success.”
